Accessibility Statement

We serve patients with disabilities every day. Making this website usable by everyone is part of that job, not an afterthought.

Last reviewed: August 17, 2026

1. Our Commitment

AA Medical Supply is a licensed Michigan DMEPOS supplier. Our customers include people who are elderly, people with low vision or blindness, people with limited mobility or dexterity, and parents of children with disabilities. We are committed to making aamedsupplies.com usable by all of them.

2. Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

We are currently partially conformant. This means most of the site meets the standard, but some parts do not yet fully meet it. We are telling you this plainly rather than claiming full compliance, because an inaccurate claim helps no one.

3. Accessibility Tools On This Site

Every page has an accessibility button in the bottom-left corner, marked with the accessibility symbol. Select it to open a panel where you can adjust:

  • Quick profiles — one-tap settings for older visitors, vision impairment, seizure safety, ADHD, and keyboard navigation
  • Text size — enlarge all text to 125%, 150%, or 200%
  • Readability — increase line height, letter spacing, and word spacing; left-align text; use a dyslexia-friendly font; highlight links; mark headings; show tooltips
  • Colour — high-contrast dark, high-contrast light, inverted colours, or greyscale
  • Navigation aids — a reading guide, a reading mask, a larger cursor, stopped animation, and hidden images

Your choices are saved in your browser and stay applied as you move between pages. They are stored only on your own device — we do not record them, and they are not linked to any account.

4. Measures We Have Taken

  • Visible keyboard focus indicators on every link, button, and form field
  • A “Skip to main content” link as the first item on every page, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation menu
  • Text colour contrast raised to meet the 4.5:1 minimum for normal text, including our gold headings, buttons and labels
  • Every form field given a name that screen readers announce, with each visible label also clickable to focus its field
  • The shopping cart, main menu and checkout window now announce themselves as dialogs, keep keyboard focus inside while open, close with the Esc key, and return you to where you were
  • Descriptive alternative text on all product and content images
  • Page layout that reflows without clipping when text is enlarged up to 200%
  • Animation that automatically respects your operating system’s “reduce motion” setting

5. Known Limitations

We want to be honest about what is not finished:

  • Product description pages. We carry over 1,300 products. Individual product description pages have not each been audited.
  • Embedded video. The videos on our Cubby Beds and CGM pages are hosted by YouTube. Their player controls are outside our control.
  • Documents. Some PDF documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers.
  • Third-party tools. Sign-in and payment pages use third-party services whose accessibility we do not directly control.

If any of these blocks you, call us and we will complete your order for you personally.

6. Tell Us About A Problem

If you cannot use any part of this website, we want to know. Contact us:

Phone: (248) 432-2620
Email: support@aamedsupplies.com
Mail: AA Medical Supply, 39393 Van Dyke Ave Ste 104, Sterling Heights, MI 48313

Please tell us the page address and what went wrong. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

You can always order by phone. Anything you can do on this website, you can do by calling us during business hours. No one has to use the website to get their equipment.

7. Ongoing Work

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review it as the site changes, and we treat reported barriers as defects to be fixed rather than requests to be considered.

8. Formal Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, or the U.S. Department of Justice ADA Information Line at 1-800-514-0301.
